Reminder: Senior Center collecting donations for the troops this weekend

As I posted earlier, the Senior Center is shipping off care packages to the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq and they’re looking for donations. Volunteers will be on hand at the Senior Center this weekend to accept your donations (Saturday 9-4 and Sunday 9-3). Not sure what the troops need? Check out this list: Food

From the police log for October 1: 4:58 p.m.- Police received a report of a large turtle blocking traffic in the middle of Central Street. Police responded and removed the turtle.

New Town House hours

Note that starting November 3, the Town House will have new hours. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Tuesday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm Friday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm It’s a trial period with the new hours in effect until March 27, 2009.
