Southboroughnews.com is reporting that Southborough Police Chief William H. Webber passed away last night after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 53.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Chief Webber’s passing, he was a man of great character and ideals and our Town will feel his loss for a long time to come. Deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
Today was a very sad day as I attended the funeral mass and burial service for my Uncle Billy. While many people knew him as the great policeman that he was, others also knew him by his kindness, sharp sense of humor, and zest for life. He will be missed.
My condolences to you and your family. It has been a sad week for all of us.
