Yearly maintenance for fire trucks

After Saturday’s accident that claimed the life of a Boston firefighter, it’s no surprise that fire engine maintenance is in the spotlight. That accident has been blamed on faulty brakes.

Get ready for a deep chill

As you’ve no doubt heard, we’re in for an arctic blast this week. Temperatures will begin to plummet on Wednesday, with wind chills potentially taking us into negative digits.
The Southborough Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) passed along the following information on how to keep yourself safe during the extreme conditions.

Southborough Police hope to purchase an SUV

Every year the Southborough Police Department replaces two cruisers. This year they hope to replace one of them with an SUV.
At an Advisory Committee meeting last night, Interim Chief Jane Moran explained that the regular cruisers have trouble navigating many town roads and driveways in the snow and ice.
