Finn March Madness Road Race

Despite what you might see when you look out the window, spring is right around the corner, and so is the first road race of the season. The Finn SOS is sponsoring the first ever Finn March Madness 5K Run/2-Mile Walk on Saturday, March 28th. The event will raise money for Finn School.

By all accounts, the Southborough Fire Ball was a huge success. Organizer Rebecca Waterfall tells me the event on Saturday night was attended by 290 people and brought in $95K. Not all of that will go toward the ladder truck since a portion will go toward the event itself, but still, an impressive number.

Selectmen consider reducing hours for town employees, library

Technically, the fiscal year 2010 budget was balanced last week when the Selectmen cut $120K from the school benefits budget. But, what if the school is unable to absorb those cuts? Time to license your dog

If you own a dog, you need a license. Licenses from 2008 expire at the end of the month, and licenses for 2009 are currently available at the Town Clerk’s office. Proof of rabies vaccination must be provided.
After June 1, there is a $10 fine plus penalties for unlicensed dogs.
