Southborough unemployment rate relatively low

According to January unemployment numbers, the recession has finally hit Metrowest, but Southborough has been relatively spared. The Boston Globe reported this weekend that the 13 towns comprising the Framingham labor market, including Southborough, lost more jobs in January than they did in all of 2008 – a total of 1,700 in the one-month period.

Trottier math team has a good showing at states

In February I told you the Trottier math team placed 6th in the MathCounts chapter competition to qualify for the state competition.
