The Metrowest Daily News has an inspiring profile of Southborough resident Sean McCarthy and his wife Christine. The 44-year-old Sean battles cystic fibrosis, a disease that took the life of his sister in 2002. As for Christine, she’s a uterine cancer survivor.
The couple is active in raising money for both cystic fibrosis and cancer research. Says Christine of her husband:
I think what I learned from him is there is no ‘Poor me,’ there is no ‘Why me?’ It is what it is. Buck up … And fight back.
