Livingston Taylor to play benefit concert for SYFS

Singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor — brother of James — will play a concert at Algonquin next month to benefit Southborough Youth and Family Services. His performances feature guitar, piano, a five-string banjo and those famed Taylor vocals.
The concert, sponsored by Friends of Southborough Youth Commission, will be held on Saturday, November 7 at 8:00 pm at the

Northboro Road bridge work may start next week

I asked Town Engineer John Woodsmall for an update on MassHighway’s plan to replace the bridge on Northboro Road that crosses the railroad tracks. The work was expected to begin around this time. Here’s what he had to say:

Support the troops this weekend at the Senior Center

Care package drives for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have become a semi-annual tradition in Southborough. Last May, residents shipped a record 400 boxes containing 11,000 pounds of toothpaste, microwave popcorn, DVDs and more to 30,000 troops stationed overseas.
