With the leaves starting to accumulate, it might be tempting to rake them all up into a pile and then light yourself a nice little bonfire. But that would be a bad idea. State regulations allow outside burning only between January 15 and May 1 each year, but even then you’re not allowed to burn

Fire department members commended for storm preparedness work

Southborough unemployment rate highest in a long, long time

Southborough’s unemployment rate jumped a full point in September to 7.5%. I found data going back as far as 1990, and that’s the highest rate we’ve seen in all that time.
