Southborough wildlife: Waterfowl edition

I was taking shots of this swan cruising the reservoir off Parkerville Road:

When this guy popped out of the brush:

A heron, I think? He didn’t stick around long:

Meanwhile, across the road, a gaggle of geese was loitering on someone’s lawn:

My dog had a great time chasing a gaggle (?) of 16+ turkeys this morning! Must be the day for wildlife! Have you ever seen a turkey fly to the top of a tree? Amazing!

These pictures are just beautiful. I was driving out White Bagley Road and I turned back to look out my rear window and was just amazed by how beautiful the resevoir looked with the ever changin trees. Our little nook of a town is so beautiufl this time of year.
Thanks for sharing your photography skills with us.

Debbie is right on target. They are quite shy hereabouts, but not on the Gulf Coast. I have stood next to one once – on a pier. The locals give them food!

He was beautiful in flight. I took the photo at the reservoir south of the Fay athletic fields on Parkerville. He flew north over the fields and across Main Street before I lost sight of him. Wonder where he was going.
