A different kind of fall color

I went to Tower Hill Botanic Garden last weekend and was surprised by how much color there was. I’m not talking about the usual yellows and reds and oranges we see this time of year, but rather bright pinks and purples. A number of flowers were still in bloom. In November. In New England. I had no idea. (Perhaps this would not have come as such a surprise to me if I actually had anything growing in my yard other than pachysandra.)
