The Northboro Road bridge is now open

by susan on December 24, 2009

Getting to and from the northwest corner of town just got easier.

After a two-month closure, the Northboro Road bridge opened yesterday morning a few hours ahead of schedule. The state had said they would open the bridge at 5:00 pm, but they completed the work early and were able to open at around 10:00 am.

I haven’t driven over the new bridge yet. Anyone checked it out? I wonder if we’ll miss the thumpy-thump-thump of those old wooden planks?
