Last November the Algonquin girls soccer team won their first ever state championship. In a ceremony late last month they were awarded plaques to commemorate the accomplishment.

At the ceremony Coach Kim Miller also received an award recognizing the top 25 high school soccer teams in the country. Algonquin was ranked an impressive 18th.
