April is poetry month at the Southborough Library

by susan on February 17, 2010

For all you poets out there comes this from the Southborough Library:

The Month of April will be filled with literary learning and fun for all ages at the Southborough Library, 25 Main Street, Southborough. Plans are underway for a month-long Poetry Festival to celebrate this classic form of expression. Partial funding for this project comes from a grant by the Southborough Local Arts Council.

Do you know a local poet who might want to share his or her work with the community?  Have you written a poem you’d like to share with everyone?  Want to help others learn the fine art of iambic pentameter, or how to craft a fine limerick?

To offer your suggestions or your poetic expertise for the Poetry Festival, please call the Library at 508-485-5031 and speak with the director Jane Cain. See you at the Southborough Library in April!
