If you guessed that the animal call I posted on the blog yesterday was a frog — and several of you did — you got it right. Specifically, it was the gray tree frog or Hyla versicolor. Who knew such a little guy could make such a big racket?
It was a pitchers duel for the girls softball team on Wednesday, with a sole unearned run in the sixth giving Milford a 1-0 edge over Algonquin. Southborough photographer Chris Wraight was there and took these photos.

RiverFest— now in its eleventh year — is an annual celebration of the Sudbury River, a portion of which flows through the southernmost end of Southborough.
Algonquin Boosters Tennis will hold the First Annual McCurdy Tennis Tournament on Sunday, June 13 and June 20. The tournament, which is open to all ages and skill levels, is named in honor of former Algonquin girls tennis coach Jan McCurdy who passed away from cancer last year.
