If Southborough was intimiated at the thought of facing the defending state and New England Little League champions in today’s round-robin match up, it didn’t show. Our boys stunned West Peabody with a 10-0 win, their second shutout of the tournament.

Residents came with a lot to say about the Gulbankian family businesses at last night’s Zoning Board of Appeals meeting, but many of them didn’t get the chance to say anything. ZBA Chairman Sam Stivers told the standing-room-only crowd that they would not discuss the merits of the case at the meeting. Instead they focused on procedure.

Southborough won the Little League Section 2 championship on Tuesday night – it’s first Section 2 championship ever – and in doing so, earned a spot among the state’s final four. Our boys will face off against Newton West, Leominster, and Peabody Western in the state championship tournament that starts tonight.
