No shortage of sports stars in Southborough this summer

Southborough Little League players aren’t the only youth athletes in town doing great things this summer. Here are some others you might not know about.

Jack Tobin, golf
In a few weeks nine-year-old Jack Tobin will head to the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship in Pinehurst, N.C. He’s had plenty of time to practice — Tobin started swinging a golf club when he was just 18 months old. (via Metrowest Daily News)

Malcolm Verrili, karate
As part of the Massdojo karate team, headquartered at the Boroughs Martial Arts and Fitness Center in Westborough, Malcolm Verrili won a gold medal in the USA Karate National Championships held earlier this month in Greenville, S.C. Overall, the team won 28 gold medals. (via Boston Globe)

Mike Wrin and Dillon Foley, wrestling
