More spring snow on the way

Hope you haven’t put away your snow shovels yet. Turns out you still might need them.

The National Weather Services says we’re in for a snow event tonight into tomorrow. The amounts don’t look like much — most forecasters have us in the 1-3 inch range — but it’s the principal of the thing.

Here’s the forecast from the NWS as of Wednesday morning:

Tonight: Snow likely, possibly mixed with rain before 8pm, then snow. Low around 30. East wind between 5 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Thursday: Snow before 2pm, then rain likely between 2pm and 5pm, then rain likely, possibly mixed with snow after 5pm. High near 38. North wind between 8 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

What do you think? Classic New England? Or cruel trick by Mother Nature?

oh, classic NE weather…I can recall snowstorms in May…my snowblower, shovels, and winter tires don’t get put away until the end of April, at the earliest.

Classic New England all the way! If you put your snow stuff away too soon, it will just jinx you! Anyone remember the April Fools’ Storm in 1997 I think? 3 feet of snow on April 1.
