Trottier Big Band plays on its success

High school spring sports season opens on Thursdsay

Both Algonquin and Assabet kick off their spring sports season this week with games on Thursday and Saturday. For Assabet it’s boys volleyball and lacrosse. For Algonquin it’s boys lacrosse and girls rugby.

Superintendent says he’ll leave it up to voters

Superintendent Charles Gobron told parents and seniors at a series of budget forums last week that the schools have done all they can to trim the K-8 budget, and they don’t plan to make any more cuts in advance of town meeting. It’s a message he reiterated to selectmen last night.

No fooling: Significant snow possible Friday

We spent last weekend outside working in the yard. It was chilly, but the sun was bright, the neighborhood kids were out playing in their driveways, and we truly felt spring was just around the corner. Turns out what’s actually around the corner might be more snow.
