Southborough police log (3/6/12 – 3/11/12): A lost dog, a found dog, a school bus accident, and more

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

  • 6:33 am – Officers investigated a hit & run accident in which two mailboxes were damaged on Pine Hill Road. The case is currently under investigation by the responding officer.
  • 9:58 am – The DPW was advised that the lights on Southville Road @ Route 85 were not functioning.
  • 1:20 pm – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Fitzgerald’s Store. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1:50 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Oregon Road residence.
  • 3:22 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Northboro Road business.
  • 3:50 pm – A resident of Main Street reported seeing a coyote in the neighborhood. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
  • 4:52 pm – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident at Marlboro Road and Sears Road. Injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 5:02 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 5:54 pm – A resident of Blackthorn Drive reported that their bicycle was stolen from the backyard of their property. An officer took a report of the incident.
  • 7:22 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Richards Road.

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

  • 12:09 am – ARRESTED: A West Roxbury man was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol (3rd Offense) and Speeding.
  • 8:04 am – Officers responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of an erratic operator. The vehicle had crossed over into Framingham before the officers arrived on scene. Framingham Police were notified.
  • 12:40 pm – A Sears Road resident spoke with an officer in regards to a domestic issue they were having.
  • 1:15 pm – A Pine Hill Road resident reported that they had found a lost Yellow Labrador. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
  • 1:57 pm – An officer responded to Breakneck Hill Road to investigate a report of a large tree limb that was blocking the road. The tree limb was located and removed by the officer.
  • 2:06 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Main Street residence.
  • 2:50 pm – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on General Henry Knox Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 3:49 pm – A resident of Andrews Circle reported finding a small, brown and white dog. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
  • 4:37 pm – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident involving a motor vehicle and a school bus on Parmenter Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 7:45 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Northboro Road business.
  • 8:17 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an East Main Street business.
  • 9:08 pm – A tablet was found at the Southborough Library. The tablet was turned into the police department and logged as a found item.

Thursday, March 8, 2012

  • 1:05 am – Officers found a suspicious male party walking on Route 85. The individual was found to be a resident of town, and was given a transport home by the responding officer.
  • 6:52 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Woodland Road residence.
  • 9:05 am – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person asking for money at St. Matthews Church. The responding officer will be filing a report of the incident.
  • 10:02 am – Officers responded to Turnpike Road at Flagg Road for a report of illegal dumping in the area. Rugs, boxes, and other items were left on the side of the road. The DPW was notified of the incident.
  • 11:23 am – Officers conducted a well-being check on a resident of Watkins Lane.
  • 11:48 am – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Red Gate Lane residence.
  • 12:40 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Carriage Hill Circle residence.
  • 2:11 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Presidential Drive residence.
  • 2:42 pm – Officers responded to Turnpike Road at Woodland Road for a report of a large tree limb in the roadway. The limb was located and removed by the responding officer.
  • 4:16 pm – Officers investigated a report of a down line on Nichols Street. The line was found to not be a hazard, and Verizon was notified of the incident.
  • 5:23 pm – A medical was reported from a Pinecone Lane residence.
  • 6:20 pm – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious male party that was walking on Parkerville Road. The male party checked out o.k.
  • 6:35 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Cordaville Road.
  • 6:52 pm – A resident called to report a cat with no collar was walking around in the Arts Center parking lot. The Animal Control Officer was advised of the report.
  • 9:24 pm – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.

  • 3:07 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 9:38 am – A resident found an open door at their neighbor’s house on Southville Road. Officers checked the home and the area. Everything checked out o.k., and nothing appeared to be disturbed.
  • 9:45 am – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 11:50 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Northboro Road business.
  • 3:10 pm – A medical was reported at an Edgewood Road residence.
  • 6:39 pm – Officers investigated two suspicious male parties who were walking on Middle Road. Both individuals checked out o.k.
  • 6:57 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Carriage Hill Circle residence.
  • 7:51 pm – Officers responded to a Boston Road business to investigate a report of a suspicious party looking into the windows of the business. The individual had left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.
  • 9:00 pm – A Marlboro Road resident reported that their credit card was compromised. An officer has been assigned to the incident and will be investigating.
  • 10:39 pm – Officers responded to Presidential Drive for a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the roadway. The vehicle was located, and the responding officers reported that the driver was visiting a friend in the area.
  • 11:39 pm – Officers investigated a report of two, suspicious motor vehicles parked on the side of Route 85. Both vehicles and the occupants checked out o.k.

  • 4:21 am – ARRESTED: A Richards Road resident was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor (2nd Offense).
  • 8:47 am – A resident of Mattapan, MA. was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle while being Unlicensed, and for having an Expired Inspection Sticker.
  • 9:32 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Bay Path Lane residence.
  • 10:05 am – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Marlboro Road.
  • 10:24 am – Officers assisted a Sears Road resident with an on-going neighbor dispute.
  • 4:57 pm – A Marlborough woman was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, and was civilly cited for having no Inspection Sticker.
  • 6:18 pm – Officers responded to Boston Road for a report of an erratic operator. The vehicle had left the area prior to their arrival. Marlborough Police were notified that the driver may be headed into their town.
  • 7:30 pm – A Raynham man was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
  • 7:56 pm – An Amherst, NH woman was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault & Battery after an altercation that took place at the Red Roof Inn.
  • 8:22 pm – A Jericho Hill Road resident was arrested and charged with being a Keeper of a Disorderly House and being a Minor in Possession of Alcohol, after Officers were called to the residence to investigate a report of a large house party.
  • 9:39 pm – A Reservoir Drive resident was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor, and was civilly cited for a possessing an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

  • 3:23 am – A medical was reported at the police station on Main Street.
  • 9:02 am – Officers investigated a report of several mailboxes that were destroyed on Gilmore Road. A report has been filed, and the incident is currently under investigation.
  • 10:31 am – A Middle Road resident was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault & Battery.
  • 10:40 am – Officers investigated a motorcycle crash on Turnpike Road. Injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 11:11 am – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 11:24 am – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Killam Farm Lane residence.
  • 11:44 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Oregon Road residence.
  • 1:40 pm – Officers responded with the Southborough Fire Department to a brush fire on Southville Road.
  • 3:17 pm – A medical was reported at a Cordaville Road business.
  • 4:54 pm – Officers responded to a Pine Hill Drive business for a report of two bicyclists trespassing on private property.
  • 6:16 pm – A motorist from Lawrence, MA. was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration, and for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
