Annual Pops Night concert at Algonquin on Wednesday

The annual Pops Night concert is a tradition that dates back at least as far as my days in the Algonquin orchestra. That is to say, it’s been going on for a long time. This year’s concert takes place on Wednesday, and it’s a great chance to hear all the Algonquin music ensembles have to offer. Here are the details.

The annual POPS Night is the biggest fundraising opportunity for the music program at Algonquin Regional High School. This is the evening where every Algonquin music ensemble performs: Jazz Bands, Orchestra, Concert and Symphonic Bands, Choral Ensembles (Algoncapella, Ladies First, Camerata Singers, A-Gents, Concert Choir and more). We will also hold a silent auction with items including Red Sox tickets and other wonderful prizes.

POPS NIGHT is sponsored by the Northborough-Southborough Music Association. NSMA is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting our talented music students, faculty, and programs, at Algonquin and the Middle Schools of Northborough and Southborough. Proceeds from this event go to the communities through grants, music enrichment awards, and senior scholarships.
