Spots still available at Recreation Department summer camps

The Southborough Recreation Department is once again offering its popular Kids Kamp and Kids Klub summer programs this year. Sessions run weekly from June 25 through August 17. And don’t forget, now through June 1, the Friends of the Southborough Recreation Department is offering discount vouchers that can be used toward summer camp tuition.

Here’s more information on each of the camps.

Kids Kamp
Located at the Finn School playground, Kids Kamp offers a nurturing and fun environment for children aged 2.9 (must be potty trained) to entering first grade. Weekly sessions run Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with an optional one-hour lunch period for an additional fee. The camp fee is $109 per week plus $43 per week for the optional lunch hour.

Each session offers weekly themes of arts and crafts, sports, games, science and water play. Special events such as Truck Day, Bubble Day, visits by the DPW, Library, Police and Fire are also incorporated.

Kids Klub
This camp, located at Woodward School, offers a variety of fun and active programs for kids entering grades two through five. Activities include art, reading, science, indoor/outdoor group games, sports, water play, social skills and relationship development. Added to the curriculum this year, are exciting theme weeks, guests, events, workshops and field trips in Southborough.

Sessions run Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with an optional one hour lunch period for an additional fee. The camp fee is $109 per week plus $43 per week for the optional lunch hour.
