Fires in Northborough and Ashland last night keep Southborough crews busy

by susan on July 24, 2012

Last night was a busy one for the Southborough Fire Department. First they were called in via mutual aid to assist with a fire at a liquor store on West Main Street in Northborough. The fire, which was believed to have started in a back room, was knocked down quickly but not before it caused substantial damage.

Southborough crews weren’t in Northborough long. The Worcester Telegram said in a tweet that Southborough had to leave “right away” because they were called to a 2-alarm fire in Ashland. That fire was in a 2-story home on Union Street. Fire was showing when Ashland crews first arrived on the scene. Hopkinton, Holliston, Sherborn, and Framingham also responded. You can read more about the Ashland fire here.
