The Southborough Food Pantry gets a significant amount of its donations from the Southborough schools. That means during the summer when school is not in session, it can be harder to keep the pantry shelves full. The next time you’re at the grocery store, why not pick up a few items to donate? While the pantry accepts most non-perishable items, a list of things they particularly need is below.

Donations can be dropped off at Pilgrim, St. Anne, St. Mark’s, St. Matthew, or First Community churches. There are also collection boxes at Walgreens on Route 9 and at Marlborough Savings Bank in downtown Southborough.

Southborough Food Pantry needs:

  • Clam chowder
  • Flour
  • Near East Original Rice Pilaf
  • Parmalat 1% milk
  • Splenda
  • Sugar
  • Shampoo / conditioner
  • Shaving cream
  • Applesauce
  • Baked Beans
  • Beef Soup
  • Brownie Mix / Cake Mix
  • Chicken Soup – (NOT chicken noodle)
  • Crackers
  • Creamed Corn
  • Granola Bars
  • Instant Oatmeal
  • Pasta-roni
  • Powdered Drink Mixes
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Saran Wrap/ Tin Foil
  • Baggies

Please be sure to check expiration dates. The food pantry cannot accept expired items. To learn more about the Southborough Food Pantry, visit their website (www.southboroughfoodpantry.org).
