What to expect from Southborough Summer Nights this year

Southborough’s annual end-of-summer celebration is only a few short weeks away. All the fun will take place on Saturday, August 25 starting at 5:00 pm at Neary School.

Some of your favorites from last year will be back again this year, including the ever-popular fireworks that cap off the evening. Southborough Recreation Director Doreen Ferguson sent out this update on what you can expect from Summer Nights this year.

We have food from Southborough’s Dominos Pizza, Dean’s Concession, Quiznos, Trombetta’s-The Creamery and Yummy Mummy.

We also have our standard events; pony rides, wrecking ball, basketball shootout, slides, obstacle course, bouncy house, ladder climb, face painting and NEW this year video arcade!!

The INFRACTIONS are back again this year to entertain us and of course the always fantastic FIREWORKS.

We will also be running a 50/50 raffle fundraiser to help our local firefighter Chris Shanahan and his family, whose son, Brendan, has been diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia. All the proceeds will go to the relief fund set up at St. Mary’s Credit Union.

As always, this event is need of volunteers. We need help with monitoring events (30 minutes), parking, 50/50 raffle and a few more positions. Please contact me if you would like to help out. (dferguson@southboroughma.com)
