Southborough police logs (7/27/12 – 7/30/12): Big holes on Oak Hill Road, car fire on Johnson Road

Friday, July 27, 2012

  • 12:01 am – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Framingham Road. The operator reportedly hit a deer, but did not suffer any injuries from the accident.
  • 12:45 am – An officer on routine patrol came across three juvenile females walking on Marlboro Road. The females were spoken to and escorted back to their residence.
  • 1:56 am – Officers conducted a requested well-being check at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 5:43 am – A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 10:14 am – Officers investigated a possible phone scam reported by a resident of Richards Road.
  • 11:53 am – Officers investigated a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle at a Park Street business. The theft is currently under investigation at this time.
  • 12:38 pm – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 2:10 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Turnpike Road business.
  • 2:20 pm – A Turnpike Road business owner reported the use of fraudulent credit cards at his business. The incident is currently under investigation by the detective unit.
  • 2:39 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Turnpike Road business.
  • 2:47 pm – A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 4:00 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from St. Mark’s School.
  • 5:07 pm – Officers assisted an Oak Hill Road resident with a child custody matter.
  • 5:25 pm – Motorists reported a large hole has opened up on Oak Hill Road, and is now causing damage to vehicles passing over it. A construction company that had been working at the site was notified, and responded to the scene to fix the hole.
  • 8:14 pm – A Candle Wood Lane resident came into the station to report a possible incident of threatening behavior. The responding officer was able to assist with the situation.
  • 9:08 pm – An officer on patrol checked on a suspicious motor vehicle parked behind a Turnpike Road business. The vehicle checked out o.k.
  • 9:27 pm – A Schipper Farm Lane resident reported hearing loud bangs in the neighborhood. The responding officer observed fireworks being set off at a nearby residence, and advised the resident to cease setting off the fireworks.
  • 9:44 pm – A Turnpike Road business called the station to report a possible drunk driver had just left their business. The suspect had left the area prior to the responding officer’s arrival, but information about the operator was passed along to Ashland Police Department.
  • 10:25 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Middle Road business.
  • 10:35 pm – ARRESTED: A Westborough man was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, and was civilly cited for a registration sticker violation.
  • 11:30 pm – Officer investigated a suspicious male party walking on Acre Bridge Road. The male party checked out o.k.

  • 12:09 pm – ARRESTED: A Marlborough man was arrested and charged with OUI Alcohol after a single-car motor vehicle accident on Pine Hill Road. No injuries were reported at the accident scene.
  • 11:34 am – A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 12:41 pm – A medical was reported at an Edgewood Road residence.
  • 1:15 pm – A resident reported a suspicious motor vehicle in the area of Schipper Farm Lane. An officer investigated the incident, but was unable to locate the vehicle.
  • 1:57 pm – Officers investigated a two-car motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 2:22 pm – Officers conducted a requested well-being check on a male party on Turnpike Road. The male party checked out o.k.
  • 4:33 pm – A motorist reported that the ramp from Route 9 West to Route 85 South was flooded. Mass Highway was notified and responded to the scene.
  • 5:13 pm – A resident of Oak Hill Road reported that another large hole had developed on Oak Hill Road. The company that was working on the road was notified again, and responded to the scene to fix the hole.
  • 8:38 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from St. Mark’s School.
  • 10:06 pm – Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle parked at a Turnpike Road business. The vehicle and the male party inside checked out o.k.

Sunday, July 29, 2012

  • 6:11 am – Officers investigated a one-car motor vehicle accident on Woodland Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 7:05 pm – Officers investigated a larceny from a motor vehicle report, at a parking lot on Cordaville Road. The reporting party alleged that his iPhone was taken from the scene. The incident is currently under investigation.
  • 10:45 pm – Officers responded to Marlboro Road for a report of an erratic operator in the area. The responding officers were able to locate the vehicle, and determined that the operator checked out o.k.

Monday, July 30, 2012

  • 2:15 am – ARRESTED: A Framingham woman was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License. She was also placed under arrest for an active arrest warrant out of Framingham District Court (Trespassing), and civilly cited for possession of Marijuana.
  • 3:49 am – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious van with a large group of people inside, parked in front of a Turnpike Road business. The responding officers were unable to locate a van in the area.
  • 7:10 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Walnut Drive residence.
  • 8:10 am – Officers investigated a three car, motor vehicle accident on Boston Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 8:55 am – Officers investigated an accident involving a school bus and a tractor trailer unit on Boston Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 9:37 am – An officer responded with the Fire Department for a report of a vehicle leaking fuel on Main Street.
  • 11:18 am – Officers assisted with a funeral escort on Main Street.
  • 11:31 am – Officers responded with the fire department for a vehicle fully engulfed in fire on Johnson Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the fire, and the Fire Department was able to extinguish the blaze.
  • 12:36 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Davis Road residence.
  • 12:52 pm – A medical was reported at a Central Street residence.
  • 1:44 pm – Animal Control was advised of a loose black dog running around the fields on Central Street.
  • 2:20 pm – A motorist brought in a set of keys that were found in town. The keys were entered into the department’s lost and found.
  • 3:22 pm – Officers investigated another burglar alarm at a Davis Road residence.
  • 5:28 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Main Street residence.
  • 5:43 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Northboro Road residence.
  • 10:18 pm – Officers checked on a report of a suspicious person at a Turnpike Road business. The individual checked out o.k., and had permission to be at the business.
  • 11:47 pm – Officers responded to a Middle Road residence to investigate a report of a Domestic dispute. The responding officers were able to mediate the situation for the parties involved.
