Flags in Southborough will fly at half staff today in tomorrow. President Barack Obama ordered flags lowered today in honor of Neil Armstrong,  The first man on the moon died last Saturday at the age of 82. A private memorial will be held today for Armstrong, fittingly on the same day as a rare “blue moon.”

Tomorrow flags across the Commonwealth will be lowered in honor of U.S. Army PFC Michael R. Demarsico II. A native of North Adams, Demarsico died earlier this month when he stepped on a land mine while serving in Afghanistan. He was 20 years old.
