Reminder: Residents invited to strategic planning focus group on Tuesday at Trottier

by susan on September 17, 2012

Last spring the Northborough-Southborough schools embarked on a project to develop a new strategic plan to guide the district over the next decade or so. Now they’re looking for your feedback as parents, taxpayers, and members of the community on what that vision should be.

On Tuesday the district will host a focus group for parents and members of the community in support of the strategic planning initiative. The meeting will take place at the Trottier Middle School library at 7:00 pm.

If you can’t make the meeting on Tuesday, you have a couple of other opportunities to help with the planning process. Additional focus groups will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at Melican Middle School in Northborough, and on Thursday, September 27 at Algonquin. Both sessions start at 7:00 pm.

You can also share your thoughts and opinions through a survey the district created. It will be available online until September 28.

The strategic planning steering committee will discuss their progress at a series of meetings scheduled in October. You can learn more on the district website (www.nsboro.k12.ma.us/pages/Northboro-Southboro).

I think it’s fantastic that you’re involving the community in this planning process. These days, it seems like people just try to slip things by the community instead of notifying them of future changes.
