Last year the Firefighters Association Halloween parade was canceled thanks to the snow. I’m guessing that won’t happen again this year, meaning Southborough kids will be able to enjoy what is always a fun event.
On Wednesday, October 24, Fay School will kick off the first in a series of workshops focused on how children become effective readers. The presentations are free and open to the public, but you do need to register. Keep reading for more information.

Southborough resident Lisa Braccio said when she held her first care package drive in 2005 to benefit troops overseas, she never dreamed she would still be at it 16 drives later. But she is, and she and co-organizer Debbie Depp Wilson sent along these words of thanks to those who contributed to their latest drive held this past weekend at the Senior Center.
