Satisfy your Girl Scout Cookie craving at the Town Center Plaza on Saturday

The Girl Scout Cookie season has officially begun (Santa brought me a box of my favorite Thin Mints for Christmas), and if you need to stock up, you can do so this weekend. Southborough Girl Scouts will be selling cookies at the Town Center Plaza (near Dunkin Donuts) on Saturday, January 5, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Cookies are $4 per box. Cash only please, no checks.

Call me crazy, but Girl Scout Cookie season seems to start earlier every year. Is it me or is it an illusion?

It actually starts about the same time each year…..early December. Southborough is part of the Eastern Mass Girl Scout Council. Surrounding towns just west of us, like Northborough, and Shrewsbury are part of the Central Mass. Council and start their sale at a different time. Different councils have their sales at different times of the year. Cookie prices may also vary for different councils and are usually set depending on the number of camp properties and Girl Scout programs that council will offer.

A little bit of Girl Scout trivia for you! Happy New Year,

this is the first year that my Nana will be not alive (she had been in a nursing home for the past 5+) years and I had always purchased from different friends daughters multiple boxes and brought them to the nursing home for the residents to enjoy. I will be doing the same this year XO. I love watching the girls sell them: the poster boards, the unity amongst themselves and the pride they get from the entire process.
