Schools closed in Southborough and Northborough on Friday

by susan on February 7, 2013

Administrators announced this afternoon that schools in Southborough and Northborough will be closed tomorrow due to the nor’easter headed our way.

“Due to the impending snow event and the uncertainty as to the time of its arrival, as well as the conditions of our roadways throughout the day on Friday, we are canceling school and all activities on Friday, February 8, 2013. This decision was made in conjunction with safety officials in our communities,” Superintendent Charles Gobron said in a message to parents.

A Blizzard Warning is currently in effect for all of Eastern Massachusetts, including Southborough. Forecasters with the National Weather Service are projecting 18-24 inches of snow in our area beginning Friday morning.
