MWDN: Southborough police investigate jewelry theft

According to a report in the Metrowest Daily News, Southborough police are investigating the alleged theft of $10K in jewelry from a Middle Road (south) home. Not many details are available, but here’s a snipped of the article:

Lt. Sean James said there were no signs of forced entry to the home, and the residents believe the jewelry was taken sometime between March 6 and 10.

James said he couldn’t provide further details as police are still investigating. He said the town has seen a drop in break-ins recently after a spike in August and September in which more than 10 homes were burglarized.

Hopefully they didn’t sell it to Designer Jewelers in Westboro. They don’t have any hold period like other towns and the owner, Mr. Varriale seemed almost happy that he melted my items. And I was willing to pay to get them returned.
