The Southborough Open Land Foundation is sponsoring another butterfly walk on Saturday, July 13 at 10:00 AM at Beals Preserve.

Stephen Moore from the Massachusetts Butterfly Club will lead the tour from the triangle at the corner of Main Street and Northborough Road. (Parking is available in that area.)

From there, the group will walk over to the Beals Preserve looking at butterflies as they go. If you prefer, you can skip the first part of the walk and meet the group at the Beals Preserve Kiosk at 10:15 a.m.

Some butterflies that could be spotted include  Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, Viceroys, Monarchs, Long-Dash Skippers or Appalachian Browns.

SOLF warns to dress for possible encounters with tics and poison ivy.

The event is free and open to the public. (It will be canceled in the case of rain.) Check www.solf.org for information about the walk and the Southborough Open Land Foundation.
