At the Southborough Library this week (7/15-19): a Teen Celebration, Wizard & Olivia

Each week this summer: The summer reading program Dig into Reading continues. In the Children’s Room there are raffles, scavenger hunts and other activities.

Tuesday, July 16

  • Drop In Craft Day (10:00 am – 5:00 pm): Stop by the Children’s Room anytime during the day and make a craft project to take home. A different craft will be featured each week. All ages welcome; no registration necessary.
  • Teen Advisory Group (6:00 – 7:00 pm): Come and provide valuable input into the purchasing of young adult books and materials as well as help plan teen programs!! We will prep the Teen Space for our Mural and ipad unveiling as well. Pizza and soda are donated by the Friends of the Southborough Library.
  • Teen Space Celebration (7:00 – 8:00 pm) Come see the new Mural and ipads that were brought to us from the Trottier Mural Club and Boy Scout Eagle project. Hang out, eat snacks, and play games!

Wednesday, July 17

  • Reading is Magic (2:30 – 3:00 p.m.): With the help of many volunteers, using magic, comedy, and suspense, Ed the Wizard weaves together the importance of building and maintaining reading skills. Supported in part by a grant from the Southborough Cultural Council.

Thursday, July 18

  • Pajama Story Time (7:00 pm – 7:45 pm): Come to the library in your pajamas to hear stories! This event will be held outside on the lawn, weather permitting, so bring a blanket. (In inclement weather, it will be held in the Children’s Room.) All welcome and no registration is necessary.

Friday, July 19

  • Olivia Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am): Are you a fan of Olivia the Pig? Join us for a special Olivia story time featuring stories and a craft. All welcome, no registration necessary. (I know my family is a fan of this precocious pig.)
