Tie up on Route 9 Eastbound to Oak Hill Road

I got stuck in some surprising traffic on route 9 Eastbound after 10:00 am this morning. I was puzzled, so made some calls.

Apparently a water main broke on Oak Hill Road. It’s being fixed this morning, thus the tie up.

From my recent observation, traffic was backed up to past Middle Road. (Moving but very slowly.)

So if you have an alternate route around that section of route 9 this morning, take it. (If you aren’t familiar with Oak Hill Road, it’s at the intersection with Walgreens and the Mobil station.)
