Last year, St. Mark’s School solidified a partnership with St. Marguerite’s school in Haiti. They sent three teachers to help lay the groundwork.

Since then, students and faculty have been offering support through a “monetary, educational, spiritual and cultural partnership.” They work “to fundraise and teach the community about the resilience and beauty of the Haitian culture.”

Next Friday, they are hosting a Celebration of Haiti. The Southborough community is invited to join them.

The celebration is scheduled from 5:30 – 8:30 pm on Friday, January 10. Festivities will take place in St. Mark’s School’s Center for Learning at 25 Marlboro Road.

The partnership committee is promising music, games, food and the chance to learn about Haitian culture, society and history.
