Algonquin Regional High School’s winter sports post season tournaments wrapped up this weekend. But already another school team is headed into their division tournament this week.

Tomahawks Cheerleaders competed at the state championship on Saturday. Their achievement ended there with last place ranking for the division.

Meanwhile, ARHS’ Team 1100 is prepping for the FIRST robotics competitions.

WPI will host New England division competition on Thursday, March 13. Qualification matches are set to begin at 11:00 am.

Last month, ARHS’ paper, The Harbinger, covered the teams efforts. Click here to read their piece.

Of course, other area schools with Southborough students are competing as well. In January, I posted a roundup of Assabet Valley news that included a story on their robotics team.

This will be the AV team’s 20th year competing. Click here to read more.
