SPD initiates new business resource program; seeks business community feedback

20110613-police-patchTwo hundred eighty business establishments in town have been contacted by the Southborough Police Department (SPD) in an effort to expand its relationship with businesses in the community.

The SPD is looking to providing better service and communication.

The Southborough Business Community Survey asks businesses to update their contact information and to write-in service requests and comments.

Police chief Kenneth Paulhus said, “We are updating our department software system in the coming months. Having the current information will be critical in building the data base for the exchange of information and service.”

In addition, business resource officers have been assigned to the following sections of town:

  • North side of town –  Officers Kevin Landry & Jake Woodford
  • South side of town – Officers Tom Rock and Jim Gallagher
  • Turnpike Road area – Officer Aaron Richardson

Officers will be contacting businesses in their designated areas to provide their contact information and check-in at pre-determined intervals.

“We look forward to a mutual partnership that will work for the benefit of all involved as we grow our service based Community Policing philosophies to the business sector,” said Paulhus.

If your establishment has not received the survey, a copy is available here. Return the form in a self addressed stamped envelope to the Southborough Police Department 19 Main St. Southborough, MA.
