Police logs (10/30-11/2/14): Vandalism under investigation, training, and Movember fundraiser

Above: Southborough Police vigorously trained in tactics and firearms last week. (Photo from Southborough Police Department Facebook page.)

Police are asking for the public’s help with any information about the tarring of a Rockpoint Road home’s front steps. The incident was reported on Saturday morning. (Presumably an unfunny Halloween night “trick”.)

Detectives are also investigating a breaking and entering at a Rte 9 business whose back window was discovered smashed on Thursday morning.

Read about those incidents and more in the latest logs from the Southborough Police Department below.

But first, more news from the SPD via their Facebook page.

The force spent part of last week training on tactical skills. On Thursday, they posted:

Over the past two days, officers from the Southborough Police Department have been participating in Defensive Tactics training and Firearms re-qualification/agility courses. It is vigorous work, and our officers take the training very seriously. Southborough police officers are dedicated and fully committed to providing the citizens of our town with a well-trained and highly proficient police force.

On a lighter note, you can expect a change in the faces of SPD officers this month. They shared:

20141103_police_log_movemberPolice officers from the Southborough Police Department will be growing mustaches during the month of November to raise awareness & funds for men’s health.
