Playoff season is wrapping up for most Algonquin fall sports. But there are still some contenders in the running for titles.

Here’s where ARHS varsity sports stand.

The top seed Boys Soccer held home field advantage in their quarter finals against 9th seed Hudson last night. It’s no surprise that they dominated the game 3-0.

They’ll head to Nashoba on Sunday to face 4th seed Westborough (one of the 17 teams they already beat this year). The semi-final match will take place at 1:00 pm.

The Girls Soccer season hasn’t been as impressive. Still, they’ve tallied more wins than losses. Last night, the 4th seed girls beat 5th seed Tantasqua in the quarter finals.

Now, they’ll take on top seed Wachusett, a team that has beaten them twice this season. That semi-final match is set for this Saturday, 5:00 pm at Foley Stadium.

At Monday’s Field Hockey semi-finals, top seed Nashoba took ARHS out of the running. The 4th seed girls lost 0-2.

ARHS’ 7th seed Volleyball went up against 2nd seed Natick in Tuesday’s quarter finals. The girls were bested 3-1.

As I previously posted: Football is out of the running for a title but will play at Marlborough this Friday. And Cross Country’s next tournament is this Saturday at Gardner Municipal Golf Club, times still unposted.
