Photo Gallery: Make way for ugly ducklings on Middle Road

Not all wild birds in Southborough are controversial.

I never know what’s “safe to say” on this blog. But it’s hard to believe the regal swans that swim in the reservoirs have haters.

Five cygnets were witnessed out and about in Southborough this week. Thanks to reader Nancy Doherty for the photos.

They are adorable! How could you not like them?
In the second photo there appears to be an egg…just one that didn’t hatch?

I had not seen the adults for several weeks and assumed she was sitting on her eggs. Can’t wait to see the little ones!

Certainly these beautiful creatures are a sight to behold. I’ll take them over the ugly turkeys anyday. Let them be.

Aww…so cute. I’ve been watching mama sit on her nest each time I drive past! She was brave to nest so close to the road. Glad everything is good.
