The Southborough Senior Center just issued its summer newsletter. In it they are promoting three bus trips, with the first coming up on July 8th.

Buses will head to a Rhode Island casino, a Boston boat tour, and a scenic Maine trip with a lobsterbake highlight. Before signing up, you’ll want (or need) to join the Friends of the Council of the Aging.

The Twin Rivers trip is open to any resident seniors, but with a half-off discount for Friends of COA members. And the following two trips are offered to members only.

The membership only costs $15 per year, and funds are used to support the Senior Center and activities. Membership entitles seniors to discounts on most activities offered by the center. Click here for more information or to register*.

Here are the trips with dates. Click on thumbnails below for details:

  • Twin River Casino – July 8th – $10 for Friends of COA, $20 for non-members
  • Spirit of Boston – July 15th – $35, Friends of COA only
  • Maine Lobsterbake (trip to Nubble Light and York Village in Maine) – $35, Friends of COA only

The last couple of trips the center offered filled up with a waitlist. So I suggest signing up soon!

The Senior Center is closed for maintenance until July 13th. Until then, you can leave a message at 508- 229-4453.
