Police logs (9/16-9/20/15): Attempted break-in; another OUI results in crash and injury

Police are reminding residents through Facebook to lock their residences and vehicles. The reminder follows an attempted break-in through an unlocked window last Friday night. The burglary was thwarted by the residents who were at home during the attempt.

On Saturday night, another influenced crash took place in town. This time, there was fortunately no other car involved. But there was an injured passenger.

Wednesday, September 16, 2015:

  • 0856 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Boston Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1044 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Turnpike Road. The responding officer reported back that the vehicles had left the area.
  • 1045 hrs – An officer investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Willow Street. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1055 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1234 hrs – Officers conducted a requested well-being check at a Newton Street residence.
  • 1305 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Newton Street.
  • 1322 hrs – An officer took a report of a lost wallet at the police station.
  • 1456 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1521 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a large tree limb in the roadway on Woodland Road.
  • 1536 hrs – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Main Street residence.
  • 2027 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 2054 hrs – Officers responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of an erratic operator in the area. The vehicle was located and stopped just over the Westborough town line. Westborough Police were notified and placed the operator, a Westborough resident, under arrest for OUI Alcohol.

Thursday, September 17, 2015: 

  • 0409 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Main Street. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0937 hrs – An officer took a report of Harassing Phone Calls from a town resident.
  • 1353 hrs – Solicitors registered at the police station.
  • 1602 hrs – An officer investigated a report of suspicious activity at the 911 field on Acre Bridge Road.
  • 1630 hrs – An officer took a report of a possible scam from a Valley Road resident.
  • 1810 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boston Road business.
  • 1836 hrs – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a High Ridge Road residence.
  • 1847 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Boston Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1909 hrs – Officers conducted a requested well-being check at a Breakneck Hill Road residence.
  • 2256 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Southville Road business.

Friday, September 18, 2015:

  • 0010 hrs – An officer investigated suspicious activity in the parking lot of a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0921 hrs – An officer investigated a traffic complaint on Framingham Road.
  • 1113 hrs – A solicitor registered at the police station.
  • 1358 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1641 hrs – A motorist from Worcester, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration; Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle; and having No Inspection Sticker.
  • 1754 hrs – A motorist from Framingham, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Speeding.
  • 1935 hrs – An officer responded with the Fire Department to investigate a Fire Alarm Activation at the St. Mark’s School on Marlboro Road.
  • 2151 hrs – An officer investigated a burglar alarm at a Southville Road business.
  • 2153 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a suspicious male party dressed in black and walking down Cordaville Road. The male party was located and checked out ok.
  • 2314 hrs – A medical was reported at a Richards Road residence.
  • 2338 hrs – Officers investigated an attempted break-in at a Madison Place residence. The residents were home at the time of the attempted break-in, and reported seeing a male party attempting to enter an unlocked window of the residence. A resident yelled out; scaring the intruder away from the home. Officers checked the area, and State Police K9 responded to the scene. The incident is currently under Investigation, and anyone with information is asked to please contact Det. Sean McCarthy at (508) 485-2121.

Saturday, September 19, 2015:

  • 0126 hrs – An officer provided a courtesy transport from the MBTA lot on River Street.
  • 0132 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Deerfoot Road residence.
  • 0710 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1008 hrs – A report of a coyote walking up Oak Hill Road was relayed to the Animal Control Officer.
  • 1235 hrs – Officers investigated a traffic complaint on Flagg Road.
  • 1348 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street residence.
  • 1426 hrs – An officer investigated a report of Harassing Phone calls from a North Street resident.
  • 1540 hrs – Officers investigated an accidental 911 call from a Lyman Street residence.
  • 1719 hrs – ARRESTED: A Marlborough man was charged with OUI Alcohol and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle after striking a utility pole on Middle Road. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to the hospital for injuries due to the accident.
  • 1920 hrs – A report of an erratic operator on Turnpike Road was passed on to Westborough Police.
  • 1939 hrs – Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity outside Finn School on Richards Road. The responding officer reported back that everything checked out ok.

Sunday, September 20, 2015:

  • 0048 hrs – Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity at a Marlboro Road residence.
  • 0751 hrs – A medical was reported at a Hickory Road residence.
  • 1018 hrs – Officers conducted a requested well-being check at a Heather Lane residence.
  • 1124 hrs – A medical was reported at a Joslin Lane residence.
  • 1247 hrs – An officer investigated a report of suspicious activity at a Madison Place residence.
  • 1315 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Boston Road.
  • 1545 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Southville Road business.
  • 1805 hrs – An officer assisted with a neighbor dispute on Valley Road.
  • 2309 hrs – A medical was reported at a North Street residence.
  • 2329 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Darlene Drive residence.
