Seeking Algonquin’s class of ’66 and ’67

Alumni of Algonquin Regional High School are organizing a combined 50th (and 49th) reunion for the classes of 1966 and 1967.

While the party isn’t for another year, their planning is already in swing. But one thing they are missing is where to send invitations.

If you know graduates of one of those classes, please forward the information to them.

If you happen to be one, ensure the organizers get your information. You can identify yourself by enrolling in the reunion website on www.classcreator.com.

And don’t forget to save the date. The party will be held on Saturday September 24, 2016 at Juniper Hills Golf Club.  (More details to be shared in the future.)

This week, I took a quick look at the 1966 yearbook in the library archives for a few fun pics. I found a great class photo in the front. (I also happened to come across another image that seems timely – one with football coach Dick Walsh.)

If you’re feeling nostalgic but can’t locate your yearbook, swing by the library. They can point you to their archived yearbooks.

First observation is that is Dick Walsh in the football picture. Second observation is the number of girls verses boys (2-1), and oh my, they had a bow and arrow! Thanks for the pictures. PS Dick’s teams were 7-1 and 8-2 in 66 and 67.
