Southborough Police have announced the apprehension of a Springfield man in connection with the Gulf Station robbery over Thanksgiving weekend.

In December, the police shared photos and asked the public for help identifying “individuals” involved in the theft. But yesterday afternoon’s press release only makes mention of one suspect.

The alleged thief is cited as a career criminal with over 146 entries on his Board of Probation record and a suspect in several similar breaks in this area, Western MA, and Connecticut.

According to the statement, Detective Sean McCarthy investigated the case and developed information leading to the arrest warrant.

The accused will face charges of B&E of a building in the nightime, larceny from a building, possession of burglarious instruments, and vandalizing property.

This is the third arrest made linked to Southborough thefts in the past week.
