Media sources are reporting that Patricia Metz (73) of Sudbury died as a result of yesterday’s bus crash.

The collision between Metz’ car and a bus carrying the Algonquin Rugby team is still under investigation by police.

As for the bus passengers, Fox 25 News reports that nine Rugby players and the bus driver suffered minor injuries:

“Some complaints of shoulder injuries. Some whiplash. I think there was a concern that one may have struck her head and developing a concussion. But they all appear to be minor,” [Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix] said.

One of the coaches on the bus is also an emergency room nurse who helped triage the injuries until police could respond.
