This week in sports: Boys Tennis undefeated

Last week, I reported that two ARHS varsity sports were undefeated at this point in the season. One of those still is – Boys Tennis now has 8 wins under their belts.

Turns out, I was wrong about Boys Lacrosse. (Somehow I missed an April 23rd loss.) But they’re still going strong this season with an 8-1 record.

Also boasting winning seasons are Boys Volleyball (7-2) and Girls Tennis (5-3).

[Editor’s Note: Teams I’m still having trouble tracking down records for are Outdoor Track and Rugby. If anyone has their standings, feel free to post a comment or email mysouthboorugh@gmail.com.]

A reader provided an update on Boys Rugby’s varsity season:

This is the first as a Varsity team (they have been a club team for 4 years) and the boys are hungry to win. The more folks that show up to watch them the better!

Currently they are 1 and 1. The first game was a pretty decisive win at 47-0. The second game was in Hanover and was a tough game, with results that reflected the issue with finding a referee. Sherry Nolan-Hess is the faculty advisor to the team, and Coaches Richer and Cahill are working the team hard. Two games have been cancelled due to rain, so there are not many games in the win-loss categories. The next game is tonight at ARHS starting at 5 (unless it is called due to weather). Next Wed the 11th there is another home game. The schedule is a little in flux due to weather issues
