If you plan to do some reading on the beach or by the pool, the Summer Book Sale at the Southborough Library at is a great place to get some cheap reads. (Photo from Flicker by aafromaa)

Plan to stop by the library this Saturday, June 4.  The Friends of the Southborough Library will be holding their annual Summer Book Sale. You can pick up some summer reading, a tote bag, or even CDs and DVDs.

If you have kids, bring them by to pick out one free book each.

The sale will run from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. (Setup begins at 9:00 am for anyone who wants to lend a volunteering hand!)

A large portion of funds raised are used to purchase free or discount passes for the community. This year the Friends expanded its offerings by 50% to cover 15 museums/venues. (Click here to see all the passes the library has to offer.)

Proceeds are also used by The Friends for other items the library’s budget can’t cover, including many of their programs for children, teens and adults, plus equipment and furniture.
