Police logs: Unlawful fireworks catch fire; Hit & Run

Residents were charged in two separate incidents with illegal fireworks. One of the incidents required aid from the Fire Department when fireworks began catching fire.

In another incident a motor vehicle and motorcycle were involved in a Hit & Run.

Friday, July 1, 2016:

  • 0108 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Newton Street business.
  • 0134 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a suspicious male party walking on Marlboro Road. The individual had left the area prior to officers arriving on scene.
  • 0513 hrs – A medical was reported at a Flagg Street residence.
  • 0630 hrs – A cellphone was found on Mt. Vickery Road. The owner was located and the cellphone was returned.
  • 0900 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Pine Hill Road residence.
  • 1032 hrs – An officer investigated a report of suspicious activity on Turnpike Road. The responding officer reported back negative findings.
  • 1059 hrs – An officer took a vandalism report from a Turnpike Road business owner.
  • 1333 hrs – An officer took a suspicious activity report from a Pine Hill Road resident. The suspicious party was located and everything checked out ok.
  • 1603 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Southville Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of that accident.
  • 1704 hrs – Officers investigated a 911 hang-up call from a Central Street business.
  • 1907 hrs – Officers assisted with a road hazard on River Street.
  • 2244 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Flagg Road residence.

Saturday, July 2, 2016:

  • 0016 hrs – An officer investigated a Harassment report at a Boston Road residence.
  • 0228 hrs – Officers responded to Oak Hill Road after Ashland Police advised Southborough Police that a vehicle being operated erratically may be headed into town. The responding officers reported back negative contact.
  • 1002 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1519 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a past, breaking & entering to a Boston Road residence. The resident reported that a garage window was smashed and several items were taken. The detective unit is currently investigating the incident.
  • 1850 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boston Road business.
  • 1953 hrs – An officer took a report of harassing phone calls from a Southville Road resident.
  • 2127 hrs – An officer investigated a report of loud fireworks going off in the area of Richards Road. The responding officer reported back negative findings.
  • 2137 hrs – A medical was reported at a Carriage Hill Circle residence.

Sunday, July 3, 2016:

  • 0823 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a School Street residence.
  • 1114 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Bay Path Lane residence.
  • 1540 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on John Street. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1705 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person in front of a Turnpike Road business. The individual was located and checked out ok.
  • 1838 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Deerfoot Road business.
  • 1920 hrs – An officer investigated a report of loud fireworks going off in the area of Leonard Drive. The responding officer located the individual responsible. He was subsequently charged with Illegal Possession of Fireworks.
  • 2141 hrs – ARRESTED: A Natick woman was charged with OUI Liquor; Child Endangerment While under the Influence; Marked Lanes Violation; and having No Inspection Sticker.
  • 2321 hrs – Officers investigated a fatal motor vehicle accident on Framingham Road. (See previously reported post for details).

Monday, July 4, 2016:

  • 0600 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boswell Lane residence.
  • 0729 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 0943 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1053 hrs – A medical was reported at a Stowe Road residence.
  • 1116 hrs – A medical was reported at an Edgewood Road residence.
  • 1156 hrs – The DPW was called out to assist with a tree leaning into the roadway on Main Street.
  • 1348 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at the Mary Finn School on Richards Road.
  • 1416 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1530 hrs – Officers investigated a Hit & Run motor vehicle vs. motorcycle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident. The accident is currently under investigation by the responding officer.
  • 1950 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cherry Street residence.
  • 2051 hrs – A motorist from Providence, RI was issued a Criminal Application for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle; Number Plate Violation to Conceal ID; and Failure to Stop/Yield.
  • 2117 hrs – An officer took a report of Breaking & Entering to a Motor Vehicle from a Presidential Drive resident. The owner reported that it did not appear that anything was taken. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the break.
  • 2155 hrs – An officer investigated a report of possible suspicious activity at a Mt. Vickery Road residence. The responding officer reported back negative findings.
  • 2207 hrs – An officer investigated a report of loud fireworks going off in the area of Eastbrook Farm Lane. The responding officers located the individual responsible, and the Eastbrook Farm resident will be charged with Unlawful Possession of Fireworks. While officers were on scene, the fireworks began to catch fire. Southborough Fire Department responded to extinguish the flames and investigate.
