This year’s summer concert series will wrap up its season with the Blackstone Valley Bluegrass on Thursday, August 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. (Rain date is scheduled to Thursday, August 25).
Enjoy the concert on Neary field with a picnic. A concession stand will be available for listeners to purchase dinner, snacks and dessert. All proceeds from concession sales will go toward Southborough Youth Commission’s Send a Kid to Camp fundraiser.
As for the band – in a past year, Sara Cassell of Southborough Youth and Family Services promised,
These guys are very talented and it’s sure to be a fun night even for those who aren’t bluegrass enthusiasts. Great music for the kids to dance in the grass barefoot.
BVB is well known in town – a perennial favorite at Steeple Coffeehouse. Back in June, the Coffeehouse posted:
They just may be our house band for all the times they’ve made us smile. They will play a few tunes you know, but it’s the kind of music that you feel like you know, even if you are hearing a particular number for the first time.
