Reminder: Putting for Purple “Fun-raiser” today

Above: You can putt “for purple” at a local mini-golf fundraiser until 3pm today (Photo from Flickr by joe.oconnell)

In my events for the week & weekend – I forgot to include Putting for Purple. (Though, I did share the news earlier this month – so hopefully it was in your calendar anyway!)

The local fundraiser will help kids have fun while raising funds for a classmate’s personal cause.

(Though, that doesn’t mean adults without little kids can’t join in.)

The third annual event is in honor of (and partially organized by) Southborough 4th grader Emily Harmon, who suffers from Absence Epilepsy.  (You can read more about her in a Community Advocate profile posted last year.)

Putting for Purple takes place at Green Thumb today, Sunday, September 25, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

This year the fun goes beyond mini golf. They’ve added face painting and a dunk tank to entertain.

Donations of $10 per person will be collected to raise funds for FACES (Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures). It is a foundation dedicated to improving the lives for those dealing with Epilepsy.

If you’d like to learn more, visit Putting for Purple.

If you’d like to register, click here to open a printable pdf version of the flyer.
